Coolant temp sensor short circuit to ground.

Possible Cause:-

1. Coolant temperature sensor wire harness circuit short circuited internally.
2. Faulty Coolant temperature sensor.

Diagnosis:-

1. Check the connectivity between circuit no 4303B & 4069 by help of multimeter after disconnecting the coolant temperature sensor & MECU. Refer below photograph.

2. Check the resistance between coolant temperature sensor terminals. Multimeter should not measure zero resistance between sensor terminals.

Corrective Action:-

1. Replace the faulty wire harness.
2. Replace the faulty sensor.
